This morning we went outside and fixed it in this way.
First, dad bought an electrical heater cord, some electric tape, and some 1/8 in. thick insulation tape. Then, we went outside and dad plugged in the cord. Then using some electrical tape (cut by me) he taped the cord to our water hose.
After that, we took the insulation tape and wrapped it around both the water hose and the cord in a tight spiral all the way along it.
and that's it!!!
Now I now that it doesn't seem like I did much to help but if i hadn't helped cut the electrical tape dad would've taken a lot longer to put the heating cord on the hose. Because he would have needed to set the hose and the cord down so he could tear a strip of tape. And after that he would've needed to find his spot on the hose again...
As for the insulation tape we needed to wrap it around the hose&cord in a spiral. So, we needed to move the container for the insulation tape around the combo of the hose&cord. Because doing so would mean the tape stuff can be pressed tightly against the combinion of hose&cord. And can you guess who moved the container for the tape??? That's right, me.
